  1. Rain has its advantages! I’ve found a similar thing with my lawn. We’re thinking of turning the lawn into a rice paddy.

    • We’re promised four clear days before the next thunderstorms. Four days. That’s just enough for the ground to dry enough for me to use the ride-on without wheelspin and bogging!

    • There’s more than 500m² that we can never really deal with: steep bramble-filled banking and semi-permanently soggy, badly drained areas mostly. Not as pretty as the flowers I found at the weekend, but when left for any period, that’s always taken over with nettles and brambles and becomes very difficult to manage.
