As my contribution to the A-Z blogging challenge this year, I shall be offering each day a limerick or rhyme having as its subject the day’s keyword, the keywords being based on a selection of strange, unusual or interesting animals drawn from Strange Animals blog or a-z animals website.
If you happen upon this small weevil
You’re likely to say, “Flippin’ heck!”
It’s true, it does look somewhat evil
On account of its very long neck.
In fact, it is totally harmless,
There really is no need to flinch.
It only eats leaves and suchlike
And only measures an inch.
Just like the giraffe it’s named after
Its neck is exceedingly long.
If you think that would stop if from flying
I’m afraid to say you would be wrong!
